It has been my passion and career goal for a long time to become a wildlife conservation researcher. I have always wanted to do my bit in life and save an endangered species or a piece of the rainforest. Volunteering is the way forward for a starting out young conservationist - so despite having little money I decided that this is absoultely the correct career path for me. There are few and extremely opportunities for wildlife conservation work experience - even unpaid positions.  I have been threating how I will ever afford to get the experience I need and also pay for a masters degree- so I have resorted to asking for help from family, friends and any other contacts. *My aim is to raise £1200* *Half of which will go towards the projects, while the other half goes towards the costs of me volunteering for these projects (so it all basically goes to the projects and the local community)* 3 Weeks in Darwin Volunteering with the Parks and Wildlife Commision: http://www.parksandwildlife.nt.gov.au/manage/volunteers/volunteers#.VNnTvSjKba5 10 Days in Thailand - Phana Monkey Project - More about this project can be found on their website: http://thaimonkeyforest.com/macaque-project/- Here I will help contribute to the research on the Macaque population.  3 weeks in Malaysia doing a Dive Volunteering Programme with Blue Temple conservation - http://www.bluetemple.co.uk/index.php/volunteer - Here I will be able to learn to dive and learn to monitor coral reefs and conduct surveys- I will help contribute to research which will be given to the Malaysian Government to help assess the Health of the Coral Reefs. *The costs of all of these are much more than £600 and I am also doing a lot of travelling in between, but I have worked my butt off full-time since finishing uni so that I can fund this trip!* Peace out
