I am the only person earning an income in a household of 6 people. Helping other people in bad situations helped to strap me down on finances. Downsizing of companies caused a loss of income in my household and bills keep coming. Other ways I have earned money in the past have not been working out either. I have tried to obtain a loan to consolidate my bills and get myself turned around and with the current market I am consistently turned down. I'm using this avenue as a last resort to get some help with my current situation. I am not the type of person who asks for help, ask anyone who knows me. What has been the straw to break the camel's back is I have a fridge about to take a dump and I have no way to fix or replace it. Everything piling up and many bills so far behind I've also got many things either ready to be reposessed or shut off and the holidays are not that far off. I've already got multiple heart conditions and other medical problems that I can't keep juggling which medications I will do without to keep other things paid while being the only one who brings in the income.  What I am looking to be able to do is to get my bills situated so everything (i.e. electric, water, gas, etc...) is not being shut off or reposessed. I need to be able to put some food in the house. Get the house ready for the colder months so everyone in the house doesn't freeze again this winter. Fix or replace my fridge as it is about to quit working altogether. Get my medications before I run into other problems. This would truly help myself and my family until we can get back on our feet financially. I will pay this forward once things are situated and this campaign has reached it's end. I would love to be able to pay it forward before the holidays to make someone else's holiday better.

That person is me. I guess you are right, it is by choice I got there. I just got hired by Walmart and my previous job was costing me 60-70 of my paycheck to do my job from gas to get to the job and other tools for me to do the job working around my allergies. I have asthma which costs 70 for my inhaler. Allergies cost me about another 110 in medications and heart medications are around another 50 if I get what I need. If I pay for insurance, that cancels out getting them. My husband has gotten jobs that he is qualified for but, the job lasts 2 weeks to a month at most. With having dyslexia he can't go to school to get a better job. Retail jobs won't hire him without experience. My 17 year old can't get a job since most places won't hire her due to labor laws. My son in law, daughter and granddaughter moved in 10 months ago after losing their home. My son in law was in the military and when they did cut backs, he lost his job with no notice. HIs current job barely pays to keep his car to get around, insurance, baby needs and what he can kick in the house. My daughter has lack of experience for jobs so gets turned down to get jobs and her current job gives her barely any hours and she is still applying every where. She dropped school to be able to open her availability. She also has to get a job that pays more than 200 per week or no sense since daycare costs that much. I don't qualify for public housing since I would have to make nothing. Food stamps is not a lot to feed the house. I could drop the internet but, I make some money on the side to help on some bills. Everything else I can't drop. I won't leave my 2 year old granddaughter to do without either. So yes, it is by choice.

Light at the end of the tunnel?

Update posted by Dina Todd at 07:01 pm

2 got jobs now. Just waiting on a starting date and when paychecks will finally roll in. Just hoping to hold out until then. Got a lot of things ready to shut off before the paychecks roll in. It's going to cost way more to pay to turn things back

I let the internet go until something works out. Makes it hard to work to get more money in to pay the bills. Maybe seeing a bright side coming up if jobs come through. I just hope to not lose the vehicles before getting the job situation taken care of.

Just went through the baby's clothes and found we need to get her some clothes for the cooler months. She out grew what she had.

Water, electric and gas are about to be shut off. This is the most pressing issue to handle since it is now getting colder and the 2 year old can't go without. I got a better job that should help but, paychecks won't be coming in for weeks from now.
