Cathal King lives in Tallaght with his wife Kim and two young children.  He has been a member of South Dublin County Council for 11 years and has a proven track record of delivering for the people of this constituency.

Supported job creation– As Mayor, Cathal reduced commercial rates for small businesses to help create local jobs.

Invested in housing – Allocated €1million towards upgrading social housing, pledged his annual expenses towards a homeless facility opened in 2013 and ensured the cost of the property tax was not passed on to tenants through rent increases.

Opposed water charges  – Sinn Féin is totally opposed to the introduction of water charges and will abolish them in government.
