I am desperately trying to raise money to pay for my elderley sick mum and my dad on what would probably be the last family holiday that she would be able to enjoy and possibly remember before she dies.  My mum is aged 76 who has suffered ill health for the last 15 years, after struggling to rebuild her life after a stroke she fell and broke her hip,  recently she suffered many blackouts whilst out injuring herself on occasions due to medication,  I look after her every day and help with her personal needs to give my dad a break and with two young children in tow its not always easy.  To cut a long story short not long ago we noticed that her short term memory was poor and failing.  After almost killing us all by leaving the chip pan on, she had simply forgot she had turned it on and didn't say when she had done,  we decided that we had to take drastic measures for her safety and that of others around her.  Those measures mean that she has to be monitored day and night,  she can remember anything from 10 years ago but cant remember anything that happened a few minutes ago.  She has now been diagnosed as being in the early stage of Alzheimers. This is a progressive illness with no cure at present, it is a very traumatic illness for the person themselves as they get annoyed and upset by not remembering something and its not good to watch from the outside.  It has been quite an emotional battle for all of us around her trying to keep our selves sane as well as the emotional upset it causes my mum, everything now has to be written down on post it notes stuck to a cork board as a constant reminder.  She isnt stupid and she knows there are issues.  Most of my time is spent either looking after my children and my mum, with my partner getting the remnants that are left.  I have a small part time job which is all that i can manage in the time left.  I would love to be able to give something back to my mum and my dad, but without help it just isnt possible.  I want for them to have a light at the end of the tunnel, something to look forward to, nstead of dreading whats happening medically, to take them somewhere they have always wanted to go  in a dream maybe as they could never afford it.  They've both worked all their lives and i know it would make my mum and dads world if they were given this opportunity but as proud parents they would not dream of asking for any help, I don't want them penny pinching and worrying,  i think they deserve a real treat with no expense spared, pampered and made to feel special,  relaxing in the sun and basically having some well earned fun.    It is my mums  birthday on November 24th and i would like her to be able to get up on her birthday, with a smile on her face, cases packed knowing she was in for a real treat, this will be more than likely the last birthday that she will remember please help me to make it special for her.

I have managed to raise £101.75 in the last 2 months by stopping smoking.  I have put the money for each packet i would have bought in a jar in my mums spare room.  Its been a real killer but im over the worst of it now.

I realise that this is a huge ask,  especially in todays economic climate,  i am not asking for donations to be given for nothing,  if i can do anything to help work off the money (legally that is), then i will do so happily.  I can be your personal driver, cleaner, ironer, i am also qualified to NVQ level 2 in hairdressing which could be useful.  I promise you all that i will try to pay each and every penny back that is donated but it wont be tomorrow or the day after, it will take me some time. I just need a little help that one break in order to help my mum.

If anyone reading this who can relate to my plight in any way or if you can spare a few pounds until i can pay you back then i would be eternally gratefulYou would be helping to give a sick lady some thing to look forward to and look fondly back on.  Thank you
