Stop the Violence Chicago

Gangs in Chicago:

     There is an ongoing gang conflict here in the city of chicago, with over 400 different active gangs, violence is at it's worse here.

     There are over 30 shooting on a typical weekend here all from gang violence, and while you see FBI statisics stating that oher cities are more dangerous, those stats goes by per capita not how many people was murdered or shot in that city.

     We are already over 300 muders and 1500 people shot for this year, that's a 60% increase from this same time last year in both categories

      Chicago is already on track to surpass the 430 murders for 2011, and we would not like to see that happen.

      Funding cuts by the state government has made it very hard to compabt the problems, so leaves the community to deal with it themselves.

     We've had 530 school age children murdered within the city limits in the past 4 years, with no end in sight for this onslaught of our youths.

     We have had over 700 murders in the last 2 years from gangs controlling turfs and neighborhood and even schools.

     This problem will not go away without our help and the fact that the Chicago police department already have their hands full will not help the problem as the need lies within the community itself.

     You cannot walk down the street here without being beat up or shot at simply because you are wearing the wrong colors or because you have your hat on the wrong side of your head. 

     We are working with ceasefire chicago to put a end to our youths having to join gangs on the premise of protection from other gang members, when these youths have to live around each other and go to the same school.

Community Support:

     We are seeking funds to take the load off of the Chicago police deaprtment and educate our youth in the community so that they have another place to turn besides joining gangs.

     The funds will help us open after school programs, sports leagues and create an enviroment for kids to have a safe haven from there sorroundings and be able to live to become successful adults able to contribute to their communities, and go to college.

     Funding from the city and state are so scarce right now, they are cutting funding for these programs, but at the sametime expecting to make the  communities better.

     We are trying to create leaders to work with these youths in their areas to educate them on the dangers of gangs and violence, and to provide support and guidance so that all this violence comes to a complete halt.

     Our campaign is to change the lives of our youths through community centers and programs. We are trying to stop the violence in our Chicago and to make a difference in each community. 

     Our campaign will bring awareness, support and unification towards finding a solution which will bring an end to the senseless violence and murders in our communities.  If our campaign doesn't happen, it simply means that we as a society will continue to spiral down and matters will only become worse. Violence affects people directly and indirectly so we need to curb these acts of violence towards our youths.

     The mission of Stop The Violence Chicago is to raise awareness of the value placed on life in the world by organizing and promoting community centers that provide services and programs to keep our youths off the strrets and out of gangs.  Through these programs individuals are encouraged to become more respectful and aware of their contributions to living a positive life, therefore, creating peaceful community and world to live in and work.

     Keep in mind, this budget covers launching the Campaign. Every dollar we raise will be used for such things as material, Pamphlets, community centers, promotion, marketing, and advertising our Programs within the communities and schools. 

     The more fund's we generate by your pledges, The better we will effectively address this situation and put an end to violence against our youths for good in Chicago.

The Case:

       As we see with every major city and these days even little towns, violence and drugs are a problem for everyone. 

       The suburbs used to be a safe haven from these kinds of thing but now they are even subject to the harsh realities and gangs,drugs and violence.

       Your contributions will help us make an example of how the communites can come together and take back their streets, and their youths in a positive way.

       We want to open up camps,after school programs and start a small community center in each of these problem communites where funding has been cut.

       Let us all work together on this matter as the overall positive and productive impact of this effort will help not just the United States but other countries as well.
