Help Fund A Future Fashion Designer!

Hello, my is Karleene Diaz I'm currently a junior at Bronx Lab School, I'm graduating early and aspire to be a Fashion Designer. My sophomore year in high school I fell in love with fashion after my internship at Perry Ellis International. I've since then taken all opportunities to strengthen my skills in designing and sewing. I recently finished an introductory sewing class where I learned basic sewing skills and mastered the usage of patterns, allowing me to create multiple garments. Aside from sewing, I took a free “In the Making” course at the Museum of Modern Art that was geared towards fashion and technology.  Taught by designer Diana Eng, I learned multiple ways to include technology in fashion in an innovative way. I’m currently looking for sponsors to help fund a fashion design program at Moore College of Art and Design that will enable me to flourish in the fashion industry. The program at Moore will allow me to master skills such as, drawing, design, pattern making, sewing, as well as allowing me to take advantage of a competitive environment where I will be challenged. Due to the fact that my courses at Moore will be taught by professors, I will be given the chance to not only gain college credits but to develop the mindset of a college student. I know that if I do raise the funds to attend this program I will take advantage of the opportunity to achieve my dreams of one day having my own fashion company. My tuition for Moore will include my room and board as well as trips within Philadelphia.
