Some of you may have already heard on the news that on Saturday 6th June 2015, there was a house fire in penydarren, merthyr tydfil affecting two houses, thankfully there was no causalities which we are very grateful for.
The first of these houses belonged to Pat Chennells. The fire has destroyed all her personal belongings and all the contents of her home. She will now have to be rehoused and build her entire home from scratch. This is truly devastating after living in the property for over 30 years.
The second of these houses belonged to Tanya Williams and Gareth Pearce who are due to be parents to twin boys in just a few weeks time. They have also lost most of their belongings as well as everything they have bought for their twin boys arrival.
Anything the families did manage to salvage was ruined by smoke and water damage from tackling the blaze.
We are reaching out to our community to try and raise any funds possible to help these two families rebuild their homes as both will have to be rehoused. Tanya and Gareth will also have to start from scratch for their twins.
Pat, Tanya, Gareth and both their families would like to thank you all in advance for any donations made.
