Hi all, I am doing the Grim Challenge with two of my close (and equally mad) friends Sophie Bonner and Gemma Bailey on 7th December 2014 (check out www.grimchallenge.co.uk for more information). In the summer of 2011 I went to Kenya and volunteered at the Emmanuel Lights Academy in Keumbu, Kisii. I stayed with a wonderful man called Pastor Robert who runs the school for free, the local church and takes in orphans off the street. Since my visit, the Keumbu Rehema Children's Home has grown enormously and gone from strength to strength, now offering a home to 30 orphans. Unfortunately, while Pastor Robert can offer free education at his successful primary school there is currently no free secondary school in Kenya. I am raising money to send one of his orphans to secondary school. For more information about Pastor Robert, the Keumbu Rehema Children's Home and the Emmanuel Lights Academy, please go to www.arrivekenya.org. Thank you for your help and support. :)
