So, this is as much of an update as I have right now. Mom is scheduled to go to Baylor next week for some more mandatory testing before her official listing on their heart transplant list. She was informed by her listing coordinator that once she is officially listed she will have to travel to Baylor once a month until she is transplanted. This will give them a chance to make sure she maintains her same transplant status as well as monitoring her LVAD. Given that she has to be in Baylor or Barnes within 4-6 hours of THE CALL she is unable to take the 10 hour road trip. This means that she will have to fly to Dallas once a month and rent a car to drive to the hospital for her LVAD clinic. She booked her first trip and each time will run her approximately $400. We will know more next week once she has her appointment. Prayers that she gets accepted without a hitch and receives the call sooner rather than later to avoid months and months of flights back and forth and added expenses for her! xoxo
