I've always wanted to visit Colombia, but for some reason I never had the time. After 12 years in the U.S Army, and 4 years of full-time college after the military, I decided to take a summer trip to Colombia. It was then that I realized how incredible this country is! Immediately I fell in love with the people, the food, and the culture. While there I had lots of fun and made some amazing friends. It was an experience that will stay with me forever.

This fundraiser will allow me to attend volunteer services and grow as a student and person, gain a better understanding of the world around me, and learn to live in harmony with my environment. I will use the money I raise to fund travel abroad for two months. This fundraiser will allow me to overcome financial challenges, and inspire me to succeed.

Whether it’s something personal or professional, it all begins with a first step. It is a true honour to represent the veterans of our armed forces who continue to serve and protect countries foreign and domestic.
