The household tests positive for COVID-19

Update posted by Raynand Olarte

Mere hours after a scheduled visit to a hospital on January 6, our father and the entire household experienced scratchy throats and fever. They were able to get swabbed on January 10, and three out of four members tested positive for COVID-19. The next two weeks were spent focusing on recovery, with our father the most affected with prolonged cough. Thankfully, they only exhibited mild symptoms.

Before getting a pacemaker, our father's cardiologist recommended that he first get an angiogram to confirm the condition of his heart and to determine if angioplasty is needed. Due to the surge of COVID-19 cases in Manila, however, the doctor does not advise scheduling the procedure soon as conditions are still unsafe.

Until then, we are coping thanks to the continued intake of his medicine. We will provide another update once his angiogram schedule is finalized. Please stay safe at this time
