ASSISTANCE FOR MY MOTHER (HEART ATTACK)

Update posted by aiza mendoza

My mother, Isabelita Mendoza, has a difficulty in breathing for several days, and then last Sunday (November 07), she was rushed into the hospital and the doctor diagnosed heart attack and water in the lungs (tubig sa baga), she was placed at the ER because there is no available ICU bed. She got swabbed and the result tested COVID-19 positive. We were so down that time, also thinking the situation of our mother and the hospital bill that kept on increasing without the assurance for her to be transferred to an ICU room for the immediate medication needed. We call almost all hospitals in our province, even on the nearby ones, hoping to get an ICU bed for her; unfortunately all are in full capacity and there are still waiting to be admitted. Desperate at that time, we transferred her in another hospital (private) for her to be able to be treated immediately. Fortunately, she has been admitted and treated. It was only 2 days since she was admitted and her bill was already around 211,000.00 ($4,400-$4600), big portion was for cardiac meds as well as to the PPEs and supplies used (she has been monitored hourly by nurses; every entry to her room requires change of PPEs).
Normally, we would keep this on our own and try to manage the overwhelming financial needs. However, it has come to a point that we need to ask for support. This has been a very difficult time for our family, both emotionally and financially.
We are knocking your generous hearts to help us in any little way you could. This would cover for the increasing medical bills and expenses of the family. We continually pray for everyone's health and safety.
