Wow!

Update posted by Darrin Zammit Lupi

For the second time in a few days, we've managed to exceed my personal fundraising target, something I'd already increased substantially. I'm truly humbled and stunned by the overwhelming response. I'm going to further raise that personal target, given that this particular campaign runs till January. Let's see if we can get to €8000. We don't yet have a final estimate of the total costs for the school project are, but it's expected to be somewhere around the €100,000 mark or thereabouts. So this particular personal campaign is just a fraction of that, but the more we can raise here, the closer we get to the global target and make this dream a reality. Tomorrow will be an important day in a couple of ways - firstly, it's my birthday, which was what prompted me to start this campaign now, and secondly because it will be the first time all the people interested in doing the Camino de Santiago or Mount Toubkal treks as challenges to back the school project will be getting together for a first meeting.

It's nine months to the day since we lost Becs. Through this school, she will live forever.

Once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you who have donated, helped spread the word or shown interest.
