Update posted by Megan De Jager

Guys thank you so much for all the donations so far !! Here is some info on why it's so expensive send Mogi from Taiwan to South Africa.

According to South African law- pets have to be sent via freight and have to quarantine in a holding facility. After blood work is cleared they can be released. Pets are not allowed to enter the country as checked baggage.

It was definitely cheaper in 2019 but now is 2021 and COVID is still impact airlines. Airlines want to ship dry cargo shipments rather than live animals. For one dog/cat in one flight, they have to cancel a shipment (at least 2-3 tons) for pressure/temperature so the cost will be much higher than normal.
