It has been a week, and Fishmaw is improving! The difference with the injections is like night and day, it is really amazing. He has started to eat well, and since the last visit during which about 400 ml of abdominal fluid was drained out, the fluid has not accumulated again. All these improvements were not possible before in previous cases I have encountered, so this drug is a real game changer.

He will be due for his bloodwork 4 weeks into the injections and we will see how things go. We are heartened by his progress for now. Unfortunately, the donations have stopped coming in at the moment, despite spreading the word out, so I will have to post further and canvass more. The shelter will also have to try to find other means of funding the treatment, albeit with significant difficulty.
