We are blessed to be a blessing!

We are Blessed to be a Blessing

I consider it a privilege to share with you from my own walk.

Like most of you, I am trying to relate faith to everyday life, but I will gladly speak about the difference Jesus Christ has made in my life.

Choosing Priorities

From an early age, I had an active church life. But as we move along, how often in our busy lives, something becomes a barrier to the total commitment of one’s life to the Lord! Money, power, or prestige to mention a few.

In my case, my career became of paramount importance. I worked extremely hard to excel, to achieve. I was really competing against myself. My career began crowding out what I have been taught about life’s most important priorities.

I prayed about it, and God led me to people and circumstances that made a real difference in my life. I discovered what joy there can be when Christ is at the centre of life and all else flows from it, rather than the other way around.

When you figure out why you are here, that is the secret to fulfilment. It is not to have more, but to BECOME more of who you are meant to be. To live a life of significance!

I found this quote, pure gold: “God is looking for people through whom He can do the impossible, what a pity that we plan only the things we can do ourselves!” - AW Tozer.

“If anyone would come after me, “Jesus tells us, “he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whosoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whosoever loses his life for me and for the Gospel will save it.”

Hard words to swallow when you are busy doing your own thing, but the most compelling logic! For if Christ is who he says he is, our Saviour, the central figure in all the universe who gives meaning to the world; then putting Him at the centre is what life is all about!

Dependance

I face daily tasks demanding wisdom and courage far beyond my own capability, so I am constantly in need of God’s grace to perform life’s routine duties. Things like love for others, the peace, and the joy inherent in God’s call.

In all of these, I learned that dependence on God is paramount. When we mirror His generosity, it shows the world the nature of our Father, in whose image we are created.

So much so, that when I have used up my own resources when I cannot control things and make them come my way when I am willing to trust God for the outcome when I am weak, then I am strong!

All authority bows to Him. All powers, dominions, and authority, across all ages of the world, bows to him. All Kings bow to Him. All Kingdoms submit to Him.

Choose this day to lay your crown at His throne forever! Fully submit your gifts, talents, abilities, influence, and authority at His throne and be a blessing!
