I divided the 50km target into 3 ‘laps’ of approx 16.67km and invited local people to join me for 1,2 or 3 of the laps.

I never dreamt so many would take up the challenge and join me. At least 30 people took part, special mention to an 11 year old boy who did 2 laps, and there was one other person doing the full 3 laps with me, which was a great moral boost.
We walked through all 4 seasons, sunshine to multiple episodes of hail, but always with spirits very high and a wonderful community feeling, some songs and I even got to introduce them to ‘pooh sticks’ :)

Thank you so very much to all who have supported so generously! The perfect boost as we hopefully start to emerge from the pandemic and become an active youth club :)
