After surgery

Update posted by Angeline Goh

Bruno had a successful surgery! He had his surgery last night and had to stay at the clinic for observation. He is discharged today in the evening. He was really happy to see us and couldn't wait to go out of the clinic. Here are some pictures of smiley Bruno!!

This cushion is supposed to stop him from reaching his wounds but.. Bruno's body is too long. He easily gnawed at it. So he has to wear a plastic cone. Sorry Bruno!!!

He will be removing his stitches in 12 days time. He needs to be confined in a small area so that he doesn't run or jump. After removing his stitches, he will have to commence hydrotherapy 2 to 3 times a week for 8 to 10 weeks to help him form a strong false joint. FHO removes the femoral head of his joint so it is no longer pressing against his hip socket. So building a false joint through therapy is important. I'm really grateful to everyone who has contributed to Bruno's surgery and recovery. It is very heartwarming to see your words of encouragement. I also want to thank the owners of Bruno's siblings (Tumi and Dada), Sarah and We Lin, thank you for supporting me through this. I'm really thankful and so glad that Bruno got his treatment for his hip!

Also, here is the cost breakdown for the FHO surgery with Dr Landon. The bill amounts to $4,201.31. From this crowdfunding campaign, I have gathered $2,131.17 from this platform (*There's a 9% fee for using gogetfunds platform) and another $4,140 from our friends. This brings our total funds to $6,271.17, after deducting the bill, there's a remaining amount of $2,069.86 for Bruno's hydrotherapy. I will be contacting Hydropawplus for the cost of hydrotherapy for Bruno and update again. Thank you all so much.

Payouts are linked to Stripe (as below).
