I just got off the phone with the veterinary surgeon and was informed that the surgery went well. They have inserted a wire into her jaw to stabilize her mouth. None of Katie's teeth were affected in her accident with the bicycle and they are all in good condition. Its going to be about 6-8 weeks of a recovery period where we will monitor the wiring inserted closely. Signs point to Katie making a speedy recovery and she will be wearing a cone around her head during this period.
