Suraj went to the hospital yesterday and met KANDEL Kulraj's family. Kulraj needs more oxygen these days so the doctor will carry tracheotomy procedure once the need for the oxygen has been normalized. His company (Peninsula Hong Kong) sent the audio and cards to wish him a speedy recovery. He was showing physical movements such as eyes, shoulder, fingers, and the tongue when we played the audio and during our one-way conversation with him which was not there during the last visit. It means his condition is improving even though he is still on a ventilator, with medication and sedation. His wife is now out of the ventilator, able to talk and we had to tell her about the daughter's condition, she cried for hours so we stayed in the hospital until midnight to counsel and give her emotional support. Son is at the general ward, eating well and recovering from the burn.

KANDEL Gita is also recovering from her operations and able to walk a few steps with the help of the supporting equipment. Just to be on the safe side, we also took her son to the hospital to check if he had inhaled any smoke during the incident, the doctor confirmed that there is nothing to worry about.
