Malee's Animal Shelter

Update posted by Harley Clarke

Hello! Thank you for visiting this funding page. Please read on to find out a little bit more about Malee's Animal Shelter and how you can help (then keep scrolling for lots of pictures of the cutest dogs and cats).

Location:

Malee's Animal Shelter is located in Ban Tha Mai, Chanthaburi, Thailand. Malee runs the shelter with the help of a handful of volunteers, and what an amazig job they do.

The animals:

The shelter homes over 500 dogs and cats and the number is growing. From puppies, big dogs, small dogs, disabled dogs, all the way to kittens and cats.

Funding:

There is no direct funding that Malee recieves for her non-profit charity, all the money gained for the dogs and cats and to keep the shelter running, comes purely from donations. As everyone is aware, Covid 19 has had a detrimental effect on local businesses all around the world, especially the self-employed. Due to this and the lack of funding, the money that Malee recieves has over halved, which is why i've set up this page on behalf of Malee and the animals.

Donations:

Due to the lack of donations; the dogs and cats have gone from eating 3 meals a day, to sometimes 1. The animals who need regular medical treatment aren't getting it anymore. The animals that need injections or vaccinations are not recieving them, and the shelter is low on general supplies such as bathing supplies for the dogs. As well as this, the building itself that the majority of the dogs live in, has started to collapse. 144 dogs stay in a sheltered area in the back of the shelter, but due to it raining heavily (we have just had rainy season here in Thailand), the roof has severely rusted, resulting in huge holes in the roof which is not leaking from every spot, which is going to be the most expensive thing to repair.

The part of the shelter that needs repairs as soon as possible

This page is to accept any donation, small or big. No amount is too little, as it will all add up to ensure all of the dogs and cats are the happiest they can be.

Thank you so much in advance- from all of the dogs and cats at Malees Animal Shelter.

A message from Malee:
Every day a challange, every day giving all efforts to help our lovely dogs (460 souls, some of them are disabled) and cats (50 souls) - our beloved fur noses . it is sometimes really exhausting cause it is an almost daily contest and we can't tell often enough to raise enough money for food, vaccinations and keeping the shelter alive. We will never give up as we owe this promise to our dogs and cats, our "family" members, that gives back so much love, faithfulness and loyality.

Would it be feasible to reach more people in the world to support our family run shelter ? If you would like to help, adopt, assist, to volunteer or to donate please kindly contact us, every time. Many thanks (WUFF, WUFF) from Tha Mai, Chantaburi, Thailand.
