Hello fellow SAFFAS and citizens of the world,

Our team, Fovs(Friends of volunteer services, a non-profit organisation) would like to reach out to you by asking for your help in supporting our goal to raise six hunrdrad Euros.

This is all in order to help the community disaster volunteers and other frontline workers that are spending many hours on the frontline, the streets of Cape Town and in underprivileged communities, educating the communities about COVID-19, handing out soap parcels to ensure good hygiene in a time where it definitly counts, handing out food packs, pitching tents for the homeless that otherwise would not have had a place to social distance and just making sure that the commuities of Cape Town, South Africa are sorted and looked after in this epidemic.

On the other side of the beauty and passion of volunteering their time doing all of this, it has come to our attention that some of our own volunteers are going out everyday to help others whilst not having essentails for their own families as they are/parents are the bread winner of the house and have lost their jobs due to this epidemic. Which means their families suffer aswell. Many of the volunteers have young children that would normally be getting a meal or two at school but now do not have that necessity as they are not at school and their parents or guardians have lost their jobs.

As there are a limited amount of food parcels going out each day to communities, the volunteers do not want to take home any for themselves and leaving others without so this is where your help and support in helping us reach our goal comes in.

Having been apart of this volunteer team back home in South Africa before relocating to Ireland, I know that as a volunteer you give selflessly no matter what your situation is.

Our team, Fovs (Friends of volunteers services) would appreciate any donations possible to help out those helping others as they serve timelessly and selflessly everyday during this tough time.
