HALFWAY!

Update posted by STEPIN Project Iraq

Since our fundraising campaign (CORONAVIRUS IN KURDISTAN) began. We have:

- Produced, washed, and ironed 24,000 reusable facemasks for distribution.
- Distributed 8,500 reusable facemasks to displaced and vulnerable populations in 3 different locations (so far).
- Trained and employed 70 displaced women from within the beneficiaries' community as seamstresses to produce said facemasks.
- Conducted a coronavirus awareness campaign, distributing essential information and prevention tips, that has reached 1,400 displaced families.
- Employed and trained 12 people from within the beneficiaries' community as Community Health Workers, delivering this campaign door-to-door.
- Hand-delivered essential medications to chronic patients unable to travel due to quarantine restriction.
- Continued to run our Primary Healthcare Centre at Dawoodia Camp serving the IDP population.
- Continued to provide 24/7 emergency care and ambulance access to the population of Dawoodia Camp.

Without YOUR help, this would not have been possible.
THANK YOU!

If you would like to continue to support us through this time, please share and promote our campaign within your circles.
