Entering month 8 and finding ways to change for the better

Update posted by Michele Barratt

Hi Everyone,

Here we are entering the 8th month, who would have ever thought this would drag on so long?

Trying to sustain a feeding program for the masses on top of our regular community work has proved a challenge indeed.

We came across a great initiative from Plastic Exchange Bali, which resonated with us in so many ways .

Bringing dignity to people by allowing them to participate in an activity that will give them food for their families as well as cleaning the environment, what's not to love about that?

SO...we have now entered a collaboration and will introduce this concept across the 3 Desas/20 Banjars commencing 13TH November 2020.

300 KG of rice for each Banjar, recyclable materials can be onsold and funds diverted back into keeping the program happening with minimal top ups is our dream.

Plastic Exchange Bali have generously donated 30 million IDR to kick this off and now we need to keep raising money to keep this alive. We are short for the initial round by 14 million IDR , so please dig deep and give us a helping hand to help others up.

Thank you so much from our team
