Õnne had her MRI today. She has severe syringomyelia (SM2) with symptoms, severe Chiari like malformation (CM2) and a painful and uncertainty condition called hydrocephaly that means there is too much cerebral fluid inside her skull, causing pressure to build up and press on her brain and skull all the time. It’s probably caused by SM and syrinxes blocking the spinal pathways. It’s like she has a constant pressure headache, the kind people with cluster headaches have - those are terrible and explain all her symptoms, specially the aggression and touch avoidance. She will need to take prednisolone to relive pressure in her head, pain relief meds, anticonvulsants to help her muscles relax from the pain reaction and stomach liners to protect her stomach from damage from all those meds. Hopefully this will make things better quickly and she will be pain free soon.
