Suicide Redemption.

Update posted by ROXANA VIQUEZ

The ultimate tragedy in any family is suicide. Suicide is a double disaster… Not only does it prematurely end a life, it wreaks havoc on the lives of those left behind. And that was the greatest fear and horror for Sebastian’s family, a 14-year-old middle school student.

Sebastian had dread depression and anxiety that resulted to him being bullied in school. He had trouble coping with rejection, failure and turmoil. In the depths of despair he lost the courage to find him self again, kept slogging, and suicide thoughts started popping up and the suicide attempts followed…

Devastated, the family decided to seek help from the local priest who referred Sebastian to our foundation… Peniel Foundation. Sebastian’s family didn’t have the means to cover the cost of the treatment, but that was not a problem, since he was admitted in Peniel’s scholarships program.

Sebastian has since undergone our full healing process, which includes 12 sessions with a trained facilitator in a unique and structured holistic spiritual program that eliminates the root cause of your troubles for positive transformation of life.

Talking about teenage suicide or suicide in general, is a complex and sensitive subject, here in Costa Rica and the whole world in general. It is not a topic that should be taken lightly, and the fact that so many teens are being exposed to this reality raises a lot of concerns among adults. Some not knowing what to do.

Teen suicide continues to be one of the taboos of the contemporary society especially in Costa Rica, a reality no one wants to talk about and that therefore is not addressed in a positive way, not at home, not at school.

At Peniel we believe in holistic spiritual healing support and positive transformation of life. Your support and donation of $--- will play a huge role in creating awareness of teen mental health issues and healing teenagers suffering from suicidal thoughts.

Sebastian is completely rejuvenated and a go-happy child right now. He is full of hope, energy and enthusiastic about the future. Today you can donate to our scholarships program and save a life of many suicidal teenagers like Sebastian!
