10th Feb 2020 - Update
Update posted by Maalini Samuganardan- She is much more aware of her surroundings.
- Able to hold longer conversation
- She's able to sit up on her own now
- She is not able to move her lower limbs yet, so cant walk yet. Physiotherapist mentioned it may take a while before she can walk. (We don't know when)
- Scheduled for muscle biopsy to figure out what's the cause behind her muscle weakness
- She vomited blood on Saturday night. Cause not know but doctor mentioned it's not fresh blood. Still investigating
- Her appetite is good otherwise
- Lower abdominal pain is still there but lesser
- She was scheduled for intensive physiotherapy sessions but recent scan shows her heart is swollen and she's back on assisted breathing using Oxygen. So, the physiotherapy session will be monitored and slowed down
- Scheduled for ECG while doing physiotherapy to make sure physio is not too extreme for her
- She's out of isolation but we would like to avoid any new infections, hence visitors are restricted.
