Why isn’t my PayPal account connecting?

Please ensure that you are entering an email address that is associated with a verified PayPal account. If you are not verified, when you login to PayPal, just below your personalized welcome message it will say ‘Status: Unverified’. That will also show steps on how to get verified. You also need to make sure that you’ve clicked on the email verification link that PayPal sends you when you create a new account.

Other than that, we require that you enter your PayPal first name and last name. Please ensure that you enter your name exactly as shown on your account (with your middle name following your first name, if applicable). PayPal shows the exact name they have registered for you when you login to PayPal (see the welcome message near the top of the page).

Why was my debit or credit card declined?

PayPal's process of accepting debit and credit card payment is rigorous. The screening process is complex and in some occasions, impact valid cards. If you know your card is valid but your payment still doesn't go through, we suggest that you try another card or try your transaction again later.
