First night far from Ilya

Update posted by Ainna Fathi

Hi! I am Ainna, Ilya's mom.

We live in Santa Cruz, Laguna and it's about a 3 hour (sans traffic) drive to the hospital where Ilya is currently in.

I just got discharged from the hospital yesterday and we decided to go home as we don't have a place to stay just yet near Ilya. It has been very difficult for me to take everything in as of the moment as when a mom gives birth, everyone always expects that the baby comes home with her. Right now, I don't have my youngest with me. I haven't even held him. It just helps that I know that he's getting the best care he needs and that I am now able to spend time with my toddler who has been with grandparents for almost 3 weeks now. I am hoping I can be in a situation where I can be near both my children as it is really heart-breaking. Right now, my emotions are just to the roof and I am heavily relying on my support system - Ilya's Dad, Opet, my eldest, Yannis and my parents. I am feeling very helpless as I can't even do a lot of things on my own. It is difficult when you are used to being able to do things on your own all the time and everything permits you to do so. Right now, my body is unable to and my heart and soul is crushed because of the situation.

But so much for this, I know we will get past this and everything will be better in time. I know that God will never fail us and he will hear our prayers.

So just an update too, this morning, we were able to get a partial bill from the hospital and it is already more than $2000 - just wanted to be transparent to everyone as this is the sole reason why we need everyone's financial help.
