Campaign update!

Update posted by Kai Yulo

It's been a whirlwind the past few days, but we wanted to provide you guys with a little update on our rescue mission thus far!

As of yesterday, we have 55 horses and several head of cattle in our two evacuation centers receiving medical care, food and hydration from our vets and volunteers. We're also expecting about 43 more horses to arrive who have already made it onto the mainland, and even more horses to cross from the island to Talisay.

We are so grateful to all of the vets, volunteers, organizers, and donors who have brought this operation to life. Together, we're providing these majestic creatures with hope and greener pastures. :)

We've received quite a few inquiries about adoption, and are so happy to know that there are enthusiastic prospective homes out there for the horses. Our first priority, however, is to account for all horses properly and give them the medical care they need. But please feel free to provide your name, number and details (where your farm is located, info about property, what you're planning to do with horses, what your experience is with horses — because we want to ensure that they all go to loving homes). Some horses are still waiting to be claimed by owners, so we don’t know how many are actually available for sale or adoption. Also, these horses have suffered tremendous trauma, both physical and emotional, and will need time to recover. So thank you for your patience!

Please note that we are still in need of extra hands and supplies at our two centers, so do reach out if you'd like to volunteer, and please keep sharing our initiative! Adding a few pictures of our inspiring warriors - horses and humans alike.
