“Nature on the shelf” at National College Eudoxiu Hurmuzachi from Rădăuţi city Romania

Update posted by Oana Adina Puha

"Nature on the shelf" is a seedling project initiated by "Eve Forest Garden" in collaboration with "Remedies from the country side", "Natural Concept & Media"and "Sustainable Clothing Natural Concept" to bring information about Nature to young people from Rădăuţi city Romania. and about how we, humans, can live in harmony with it.

Within the “Nature on the shelf” project, 51 books in 4 languages, with information on nature, flora and fauna, herbs and gardening, all from the personal collection, were made available to the students of the Eudoxiu Hurmuzachi National College in Rădăuţi City, Suceava county Romania. The books will be hosted by the college library until February 7, 2020.

These books will reveal gardening alternatives and revolutionary agriculture such as Permaculture, No Till , Regenerative Agriculture or Guerilla Gardening. People have cultivated gardens since ancient times, the survival of the human species being closely linked to gardening. Therefore, information on nature, gardening and agriculture should be accessible to all, regardless of their field of activity. There are many myths regarding agriculture and gardening. Therefore, an exhortation we make to the students is to put the respective book in the parents' hands at home, if something interesting has caught their attention.

With this project we want to bring to the future generations an unquestionable reality, the reality in which we live, and especially to light the fire of knowledge regarding the living world, starting from the mushroom mycelium to the life and usefulness of medicinal plants, from the world from the insects to the animal kingdom, from a conventional gardening to a revolutionary one, all very valuable information that we cannot overlook, because they are part of our daily lives.

We all rejoice when we watch the sunset, when a stork appears in the path, when the spring rains and the pollen of flowers is shaken, when we go to the so-called "barbecue", when in summer we all run to the mountain waters to cool off and in winter to slope to 'spoil' us.

We all enjoy NATURE !

The Nature on the Shelf project from Eve Forest Garden, being one of the informative actions, designed to increase the awareness of the impact that conventional agriculture has on the Earth.
