A bad few days...

Update posted by Natasha Lynch

So we have had Tasha back and forth from the hospital 3 times this week. All with worsening breathing problems.

All we kept getting was 'its bronchitis' have more nebulizers and steroids.

Finally Tasha seems to be turning a corner and her breathing has improved slightly with a new medication and increased nebulizers and more use of her cough assist.

Any chest infection can turn serious for tasha, because she is ventilator dependant and canr cough for herself properly anymore, she has to use a machine called a cough assist to help her clear all of the junk out of her chest. ANY infection actually is serious in mitochondrial disease patients, as its during and the weeks following that they are more at risk of degeneration!
