Medical Assistance / Kidney Transplant of my Father

Update posted by Aubrey Tricia Torres

I am raising fund for my Father's recovery due to his severe condition of having Chronic Kidney Failure. He is a dialysis patient for 3 years now, currently undergo a 3x a week session to prolong his life span. However, being a dialysis patient is never easy. It has a lot of side effects such as dizziness, palpitations, body weakness including the bones and heart. As a daughter, it is undeniably painful seeing my dad going through this process and worst part is we never know how much time left to spend time with him. Most of the dialysis patients die because of heart attack that's why it really saddens me of the things that might happen in the future. If only we have the money for his transplant, he wouldn't need to go through this painful and traumatic process. Honestly, I'm afraid to lose my dad, given that he is the only parent I have coz my mom died when I was only 11 months old due to cancer. My father is my core since then.

Dialysis sessions in the Philippines is really expensive. It ranges from Php 20,000 to 30,000 per month a total of 360,00 in a year exclusive of the medicines for his maintenance.

We don't have the sufficient money to maintain his medical needs. There are moments that my father compromises his dialysis sessions instead of 3x a week sometimes he reduced it into to 2x a week to lessen the expenses. Only me and my brother provide for my Father's Dialysis sessions, we are both struggling financially especially that we are just starting our career. I'm only 24 y/o and currently hired as contractual in a government agency still striving to have a stable job. Most of the time, we borrowed money and pay for it every pay day.

Please help my father, I believe he has still a lot to offer in this world. If we will be able to source some fund for him to have his kidney transplant, it will really make a difference to our family.

Thank you in advance and God bless!
