Inge was taken to Cape Town by ambulance on Thursday 31 Oct and was admitted to Groote Schuur Hospital. An initial surgical procedure to remove fluid on the brain was suddenly cancelled on Friday due to her brain responding well to the cortisone treatment that she was receiving. It was decided to do this procedure together with the main surgery of removing the tumor this coming week. An excellent team of doctors are busy planning this delicate surgery. She is in the High Care unit where she is being monitored closely. She and her family are overwhelmed by people's generosity and greatly appreciate all of the support and donations that have come in.
