it’s been a few weeks since the last update, and unfortunately lassie’s condition has only taken a turn for the worse - the tumor has grown even bigger and is continuing to grow rapidly.

we’ve consulted a vet as to find out if they can possibly surgically remove part of the tumor, so that she can at least eat and live comfortably - but with the growth having reached such a size and having spread to many parts of her head, they stressed that it could cause more pain and leave her susceptible to infection.

it’s a decision no pet owner wants to make, but we have to consider putting her down if she’s suffering. at the moment, she’s still mobile and eats, but with difficulty, and the nature of the tumor means that she’s constantly bleeding - we’ve exhausted packs and packs of tissues, wipes, sanitary mats, to keep her as clean and comfy as possible, but the appearances of the tumor outside her mouth is now suggesting that we cant do much more for her.

we’re waiting on the next vet appointment and will continue to provide for her as best as we can - after all, miracles can happen!

in the meantime, thank you to everyone who has shown support either by donating and/or by reaching out with a message - it means so very much to me through a really trying time, to know i’m not alone. my parents are also grateful for the support as we can continue to provide as best as we can for lassie with these funds, and get her as much help as we can.
