We have been amazed and humbled by all the generous donations and offers of support and advice. We want to leave this Crowdfunder open until Friday 11th October as some folk were keen to donate after Pay-day and we will be fundraising throughout the period of the AUOB March in Edinburgh on Oct 5th.
We have met to plan our working strategy based on our current resources. Here's a summary of what we want to achieve initially:
- The 'Socialite' campaign to put motion graphics showing the wealth of Scotland's natural resources in 21 pubs across Edinburgh, Glasgow and Stirling.
- We will focus on Billboard posters in 6 locations across the central belt.
- We will be identifying twelve groups to work with on local campaigns with match funding up to £500 each
We are looking for strategies to bring in funding on a regular basis to extend the aims, scope and geographic spread of future campaigns.
Thanks once again!
A great idea, and I like the draught design of accurate facts. I had a similar idea a while ago, and thought of using the’ Independence is Normal’ logo - very strong, true and simple. I don’t know who designed it, but hopefully they’d be helpful. My only comment is the tartan background though emotive is confusing and makes the text hard to read. Either the same thing lighter, or something else clearer.

We are very aware of this Christine (and Jon). The only reason we seem to be concentrating on the Central Belt just now is availability of advertising locations via our advertising partner, ClearChannel. Hopefully, once we get involved with local groups (and other advertising groups) the message will spread much farther, particularly to places like the Borders, for so long seen as unionist strongholds. Thanks for your points and your concern though

I appreciate the rationale for focussing your campaign on the central belt but please don’t forget rural areas such as Dumfries & Galloway where much persuasion on the benefits of independence is still needed. These long held Unionist votes could make the difference between indy and the status quo
