September 24, 2019, Day 26 in NICU

Last night baby Lawrence climb back to his birth weight at 1.15 kilos. They fed him 6ml of breastmilk and will be increasing his intake if he can tolerate.

The doctor enrolled us in the kangaroo mother care or KMC which is a technique where baby Lawrence is kept chest to chest or skin to skin with mommy and daddy. This technique improves stability of the heart and breathing rate of babies.

As of yesterday baby Lawrence bill have already reached 840k or around an average of 33k a day excluding doctors professional fees. He still needs to stay for around 5 more weeks and gain some weight before doctors will release him.
