Second Part of Gizzy’s most recent update

Update posted by Emilee Heironimus

Our sweet Gizzy was home, he does have a catheter in that I will need to empty on my own clear til Tuesday until the PU surgery.

However, things didn’t go as planned as Gizzy was able to get the E Collar off, therefore he was able to get to his catheter tube to chew it in half, and we had to get him to an emergency vet. He is currently in Maryland, and they are taking such great care of him. They understood our story, and we’re treating us so well when we arrived even so much as simply replacing the tube instead of the entire catheter because by the Grace of God that catheter was still fully in place meaning we didn’t have to pay any extra for the catheter.. however, we do have to pay for the hospital stay clear til Tuesday. They understand the financial situation and were so kind, as we have put out a lot towards our sweet boy to do what we can to save his life as he is just so young and shouldn’t be put down due to high vet bills.. he just turned a year old the beginning of August. The ER vet in Maryland called us this morning and said he is doing well.. the lady was laughing and told us he is rotten and was trying to get to the tube again so they had to put a double E Collar on him in order to keep him from getting to this tube again. Thank you guys SO much for your help, it’s so much appreciated. This has been so much harder watching our girls go through the thought of losing another pet, as we lost our dog of 11 years just last September due to old age and we did not want to have to go through this heartache again so soon. We are forever grateful for all of the generous people and animal lovers out there who are helping us get through this ❤️
