On 18 August, Sunday morning, my mom woke up saying she wants her husband home.

He suffers from horrible heartburn so much so his esophagus burns to the extent a doctor once said a few years ago it was blood red and raw. At the rehab home he suffered badly as they didn't have antacids. While visiting my dad he would tell us he was feeling so bad that he couldn't eat their food or sleep.

He was so happy to be in his own home with his own family. The joy on his face was priceless. Although he is at home and we love having him with us again, it is no walk in the park. We were loaned a wheelchair and was given a quad walking cane by our dear friends. Some of my dad's church friends helped with nappies and some funds.

I am tired tonight and would love to share more about how we had to wash him down, dress him and all the things which take three people to do but tonight I am going to rest.
