2 surgeries

Update posted by Roel Dulay

9 days and 2 surgeries were done at the Philippine Heart Center. Still, we are not losing hope that Inang's right foot would be saved. The first surgery was Embolectomy which didn't work due to blood clots had built up right after it was done. The second was the Femoral bypass. Yes, there were improvements, the color of her foot has normalized but the pain was still present also, the most important part was missing "Blood circulation". Doctors found out through doppler ultrasound that there was no blood circulation in her right foot which made them think to perform their last resort which is foot amputation. However, they believe there is still a solution, and they decide to involve more specialists to save her foot. We don't know how much more surgeries she could endure because of her age and the fact that her Polycytemia is in a high-risk stage that might compromise her life. Demotivated by the recent outcome, Inang is still hopeful that this ordeal would be a happy ending. Please continue to pray for her and the doctors so they may be able to come up with the right treatment and solution. Thank you!
