After two different antibiotics that the bacteria enterobacter cloacae is known to be sensitive to, the doctor noticed that baby Luke's condition was not improving. His platelet count remained low. A few days ago, the pedia gave Luke a level 3 antibiotic. At the same time, we were given permission to breast feed Luke at least once a day. The combination of the medication and latching has brought up our baby's platelet count from 14k to 92k. The doctor says the treatment should last about 7 to 14 days. It looks like our son will be coming home soon. I would like to thank all our friends, family, and the people (living, breathing, guardian angels) who continue to pray and support us.
