New Antibiotic and Breast Feeding

Update posted by Isner Woodrow Wasan

#Day55

After two different antibiotics that the bacteria enterobacter cloacae is known to be sensitive to, the doctor noticed that baby Luke's condition was not improving. His platelet count remained low. A few days ago, the pedia gave Luke a level 3 antibiotic. At the same time, we were given permission to breast feed Luke at least once a day. The combination of the medication and latching has brought up our baby's platelet count from 14k to 92k. The doctor says the treatment should last about 7 to 14 days. It looks like our son will be coming home soon. I would like to thank all our friends, family, and the people (living, breathing, guardian angels) who continue to pray and support us. We feel your love.
