This past week the roofers have begun the process of installing the metal roof. The work has included adding structural supports in the attic and a full roof tear off. Next the metal roof installer will put on the standing-seam metal skin. The roof will have gutters added for rain catchment for the gardens. We chose a white roof to reflect sunlight and help keep our home cooler in the summers. The new roof will be a perfect surface to install the solar panels onto and that work will begin next month.
