A very small 11 year old boy...from a distant village...4 years of swelling of his left thigh now 3 times the normal size...then 4 draining sinuses coming from the bone...yet he smiles as he limps along. We managed to get an x-ray and no tumor but very weak bones near the joints and fuzzy lining along the bone edges. Got to be TB osteomyelitis...all along the femur...now I can report after a week of standard TB treatment the thigh is dramatically reduced in size and he walks with a gimp not a limp.
