Post surgery - Day 1 and 2

Update posted by Ivy Ho

Good evening to all, sorry for the lack of update ytd.

Post-op Day 1

These photos are taken post-surgery after he woke up but still in his drowsy state.

This is the incision where they removed the twisted lobe. It pains me to see this every time. 😭 My ahbit is indeed a true fighter.. ❤️

Post-op Day 2

Ahbit is recuperating well from his surgery. It is obvious that he is feeling pain and discomfort from his posture when we saw him earlier. His vet had to prescribe a couple of different pain killers in his iv drip for him to cope with the pain. 😩 He doesn't look as comfortable as compared to when he first woke up from the anesthesia. Here's a photo of him: (the green bandage around his ears is the iv drip)

He isn't pooping or eating much on his own due to the pain and discomfort.. 😔 The nurses had to syringe feed him the critical care mixture for him to get his proper nutrients to recover well. This lil one is just as stubborn as his horoscope says. He refused to take his favourite Cunipic alphapro pellet every time we tried to hand feed him until.......

We brought out his ultimate love, the papaya cube snack from New Age, to all our surprise, he managed to finish 1 tiny cube of it. Yay!! One step closer to full recovery!! All the vets and nurses loves him. They described him as a little bright happy fighter. 💖

Ahbit will also be starting his 14 to 28 days preventive treatment for E cuniculi (Ec). As according to the vet, she mentioned that this disease is very commonly found in ND and wants to be sure that this disease is not the caused of Ahbit's liver torsion.

If you are curious on what ec is, you can read it up here:

Will recommend ND's mummy and daddy to get this preventive treatment to keep our lil buck and doe healthy..

Side track, we have requested for the updated medical bill to date. It will be posted in a separate update.

Will be back to update again!

Goodnight and ❤️ to everyone here.
