Chemo Session 2!

Update posted by Neil Michael Namoro

hey nerds!

finally, i was able to finish my 2nd session of chemotherapy today. this have been delayed for a couple of weeks now because of other medical complications (i got feverish for a week, then got hospitalized for another week because of pneumonia). this is the problem with being immuno-compromised when under chemotherapy, you can get sick very fast if you are not being very careful. so now i have to be doubly careful with a lot of things to avoid getting sick.

anyways, so now i am preparing myself for the incoming onslaught of post-chemo side effects that will come on the coming days. the loss of appetite, trouble swallowing, waves of nausea (especially in the morning), vomiting, being tired all the time. the first week after chemo is fucking hell. i wish there are ways to avoid it, but it seems that i just have to endure it. there were a couple of times after my first chemo session that i was just crying out of frustration because of how bad i was feeling on those days.

for now i feel fine. i was able to eat what i want to eat and looking forward to that carrot cake for later. here's to hoping that there won't be any more medical complications that will pop-up, and that i would be able to endure the side effects much better this time around. fingers-crossed.
