We need more help

Update posted by James Jacinto

Mommy is currently at home and continues with her medication and out patient consultations. Her Mobility and ambulation are very limited as she easily feels chest discomfort. Yesterday we visited Manila Doctors Hospital in Manila to get second opinion by Dr. Wilbert Gumatay, cardiologist. He said that angioplasty/stenting is really necessary to restore blood flow to her oxygen-starved heart. This will improve her quality of life and reduce risks of getting another heart attack.

I had been on "missionary work" for a little over a year and just started working again recently. We have been doing our best to manage our finances after her first heart attack. Her health coverage plan had already been maxed out and we are now paying for consultations and medication out-of-pocket. Currently, we are at only at Php50,000 of Php360,000 target (13%) in our fund raising efforts for her immediate angioplasty/stenting. For those who have contributed already, explicitly or anonymously, you have touched our hearts and our gratitude is overflowing. We continue to make an appeal to family, colleagues, students, friends, friends of friends to help us reach our goal and save mommy’s life. Even if you’re not in the position now of giving us help financially, please pray for my mom’s condition and spread the word to those who might give us a lift. Thank you for reading and giving us hope.
