Now at NKTI
Update posted by Claire EspinaApril 7: Roux-en-Y procedure was done instead of whipples. Metastatic lesions were seen in the liver. Tissue samples were taken from the pancreas and liver. Histopath revealed adenocarcinoma. He had his 1st chemo (low dose Gemcitabine) on March 26 and was discharged from the hospital two days after. He was then re-admitted for second chemo session last April 2. At that time, two chemo drugs (Gemcitabine and Abraxane) were used.
Arthur will undergo Whipple Procedure on March 4 (Monday) at 7am. We ask everyone to continue praying for a successful surgery without any complications and for Arthur's fast healing and recovery post-operatively. Thank you very much and God bless you all!
