The sad story about my dad Raghu...

My name is Karthik and I’m writing this page for my dad and our family. I’m a college student in Chennai, India and my sister is a senior in high school . We are both dedicated students and work extremely hard to achieve our goals.

My dad Raghu was supporting us through school and college. He was so hard working and earned money as an electrician/ plumber etc to make ends meet. He is one of the nicest gentlemen we know and my mom is a housewife. My dad used to perform jobs for others and if they couldn’t afford to pay him , he would do it for free!

But now, DISASTER struck! He is only 50 yrs of age and was devastated when he suffered a major stroke causing weakness of his whole left side and partial blindness.

Although the weakness is slowly improving, his visual problem is still so disabling that he is not able to perform ANY of his previous jobs at work. He is totally devastated that the medical expenses are so overwhelming in addition him not being able to earn money.

He was so focused in putting us through college so that we could earn money to stand on our own feet.We find him crying silently , because he’s so devastated that he might not be able to help us complete our educational goals!

The medical expenses amount to $ 200 a month and has paid up to $ 1000 so far.

Our education fees amount to $1000 for my sister and myself.

So , on behalf of my dad Raghu & my family I humbly request you to donate whatever amount that is possible to help our family and to alleviate the immense suffering we all are facing.

We pray that just as my dad was generous to others when he was working, others will have it in their hearts to give in any which way .
