A week after..

Update posted by Maria Therese Andrada

I'ts been a week after my supposed .5 chemo day of Cycle 1. Today, after my blood test of this morning, I can finally take my final dose of chemo to complete Cycle 1 on Wednesday, Feb 20. I can't wait for all this to be over! I am wanting to go back to my normal life. But really, how normal can one be when there are still restrictions to your diet? I only hope and pray God can help me through this. The GCSF shot I took last Thursday, did help increase my WBC. Gcsf is short for Granulocyte-colony stimulating factor. This is a Glyco-protein that helps stimulate my bone marrow to produce more WBC. It did help increase my count from almost zero to 142 10/l count. Normal is 150 I didn't reach it but at least it had a remarkable increase.
