The result of bone marrow aspiration and bone marrow biopsy is out today and it is confirmed that Rica Mae is in the early stage of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Because of this, she needs to undergo chemotherapy for 4 months and take oral medicines.

Currently, she is still in ICU and needs platelet transfusion as soon as possible. She has fever and can't move her legs due to BMA. She is also taking antibiotics to treat the pneumonia she gets while i the hospital.

The doctor said the expected cost for the chemotherapy alone is almost half a million piso. Apart from the money we need, the procedure can cause severe bleeding, thus, we are still looking for blood donors especially O+ blood type for platelet transfusion.

The good news is that the survival rate after the chemotherapy is 80-90%.
